MOSS POINT, MS — The Moss Point High School Men’s Soccer Program announces a leadership transition as long-time coach Jeramey Anderson steps down from his role as Head Coach, effective August 25, 2025. Anderson, who has served the program for nearly a decade in various coaching capacities, will remain actively involved as a volunteer assistant coach.
During his tenure, Coach Anderson has served as head coach for both the men’s and women’s teams, assistant coach, and most recently, men’s head coach for the past several years. Under his leadership, the program has grown into one of the most beloved and fastest-growing sports in the Moss Point School District and community—securing numerous college scholarships for student-athletes, expanding youth soccer interest, and fostering a culture rooted in pride, discipline, and opportunity.
Beginning with the 2025–2026 season, Geovanny “Coach Geo” Morales will take over as Head Coach. While Coach Geo is a newer addition to the Moss Point coaching staff, he has quickly earned the trust of the players, administration, and community through his leadership, passion for the game, and commitment to player development.

Coach Jeramey Anderson shared:
“It’s been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve the student-athletes of Moss Point. I’m proud of the program we’ve built together and confident in its future under Coach Geo’s leadership. I look forward to continuing to serve and support this team in my new role as a volunteer assistant coach.”

Coach Geo expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead:
“I’m honored to step into the role of Head Coach for Moss Point Men’s Soccer. Even in the short time I’ve been here, I’ve seen the dedication and talent that makes this program special. I’m committed to building on the culture and standards Coach Anderson has set and working to help our players succeed both on and off the field.”
The Moss Point Soccer Booster Club, under the leadership of President Stacey Sawyer, has formally endorsed this transition plan. The coaching staff for the 2025–2026 season will include:
Head Coach: Geovanny “Coach Geo” Morales
First Assistant Coach: Jaiden Downs
Volunteer Assistant Coach: TJ Gines
Volunteer Assistant Coach: Jeramey Anderson
Second Assistant Coach: Vacant (to be filled before the start of the season)
