This weekend, the Moss Point High School Soccer Program is doubling down on competition as both the men’s and women’s teams head out to separate tournaments across the region.
The Moss Point Women’s Soccer Team, led by Head Coach Cyruss Redd, will travel north to Meridian, Mississippi, to compete in the 2025 State Games of Mississippi, a high-profile showcase of top talent from across the state.
“This is a great opportunity for our girls to represent Moss Point on a statewide stage,” said Redd. “The State Games always bring great competition, and our players are ready to rise to the occasion.”
Meanwhile, the Moss Point Men’s Soccer Team, coached by Jeramey Anderson, will venture southeast to the white sands of Florida for their first-ever Beach Soccer Tournament appearance. The Tigers are coming off a strong 3-1 road win against Vancleave on Thursday and hope to carry that momentum into this unique format of play.
“It’s going to be a fun weekend, but we’re still focused on playing hard and representing Moss Point the right way,” said Anderson.
Both teams will depart together from the high school locker room early Saturday morning before splitting off to their respective destinations—one headed north, the other east. Though they’re on separate paths, the goal remains the same: to compete, represent, and bring pride to Moss Point Soccer.
